1. To enter: simply color the provided picture - scan or take a photograph of your coloring. For those who wish to enter, but do not have access to the internet or do not have a camera or scanner, entries may be brought to The Daily Advocate at 428 S. Broadway in Greenville and dropped off in the designated box on the front counter. We must have your entry no later than AUG 8 at 5:00 PM (no exceptions).
2. Go to the contest site and click 'Enter Contest' – fill out required information – click 'Submit'.
3. ONLY one submission per child please.
4. You may be required to register to participate in voting and/or uploading submissions. Registration is totally free.
5. By registering you also agree to be automatically signed up to receive the free Darke County eNewsletter (you may opt out at any time).
6. Winner will be determined by which entry simply has the most votes and will receive the grand prize offered by the contest sponsor.
Grand prize will be a $125 gift certificate to Wal-Mart. Voting ends AUG 17 at 5:00 PM.
7. The 2nd and 3rd place entrees will both receive gift certificates from the contest sponsor.
$50 for 2nd place, $25 for 3rd place.
8. Contestants must attend a school in Darke County and between the ages of 5-12 at the time of the contest. Must have parents permission to enter.
9. The Daily Advocate reserves the right to reject any winner if found to have received votes due to a contest glitch or hack.
10. Prizes may not be exchanged or substituted. Winners may not sell or transfer the right to receive the prize. Prizes must be picked up in person. A photograph of the winners may be taken by a staff member of The Daily Advocate to then be published in the paper and/or online. Prizes unclaimed will be given away to one of our subscribers in a drawing.
11. All contest participants agree to the use of their coloring, photograph and/or name without any compensation from The Daily Advocate or the contest sponsors.
12. By accepting a prize, the winners agree to release and hold harmless The Daily Advocate, it's parent company, contest sponsors or employees from any injuries, losses or damages or any related in any way of sustained in connection with the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize awarded.
13. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by The Daily Advocate are final and binding.
14. Contest rules are subject to change at any time during the duration of the contest period.
15. Contest is void outside of Darke County or where restricted by law.
16. Employees of The Daily Advocate and Ohio Community Media are free to enter, but are not eligible to win.
17. By entering, the contestant agrees to be bound by these rules.
