1- Be sure to check submission and voting deadlines on the site. No entries or votes will be accepted after any deadline indicated.
2- To enter click 'Submit Photo' – fill out required information – click 'Submit'
3- Entries must be received by July 8, 2011 before 5:00 PM
4- Photograph must be taken at the Darke County Fair from any year. You may enter as many photos as you wish.
5- The Daily Advocate reserves the right to reject any submission for any reason.
6- Only one vote per day per person. The photograph with the most votes does not guarantee to be a finalist. The winners are picked by the judges, but votes will weigh heavily on the judges decisions. The top 2 entries with most votes after first round automatically advance to Top 10.
7- Photograph may be in color or black & white and must be original, no doctored photograph will be accepted into top 10.
8- Contestants must be at least 18 years of age and have permission to enter the photograph. Once entered the photograph becomes property of The Daily Advocate and can be used at our discretion.
9- The judges will choose the top 10 at end of contest and will then make a final decision on a winner. The entry with the most votes in the Top 10 round will be named the Voter's Choice Winner and be featured inside the magazine.
10- Photos can be brought to The Daily Advocate, 428 S. Broadway, if assistance is needed with submission to the contest in the event that the person does not have access to the internet. We will also accept a submission through standard mailing. Send your name, address, telephone number, email address (if available), a title and description of all entries and the photo you wish to submit to:

Include a stamped self-addressed envelope if you wish to have your photo returned.
Please note: You will be required to fill out our submission form to be eligible. A copy of this form is located at the front desk of The Daily Advocate office.
11- Prizes may not be exchanged or substituted. Winners may not sell or transfer the right to receive the prize. Prizes must be picked up in person. A photograph of the winners may be taken by a staff member of The Daily Advocate to then be published in the paper and/or online. Prizes unclaimed by 30 days after announcement will be given away to one of our subscribers in an online drawing. See bottom of this page for prize information.
12- All participants agree to the use of their photograph and/or name without any compensation from The Daily Advocate or the contest sponsors.
13- By accepting a prize, the winners agree to release and hold harmless The Daily Advocate, it's parent company, contest sponsors or employees from any injuries, losses or damages or any related in any way of sustained in connection with the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize awarded.
14- In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by The Daily Advocate are final and binding.
15- Contest rules are subject to change at any time during the duration of the contest or judging phase.
16- Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
17- Employees of The Daily Advocate and Brown Publishing Company are free to enter, but may not win any contest presented on this site.
18- By entering the contestant agrees to be bound by these rules.
PRIZE INFORMATION
Judge's winner will receive: Their photo on the cover of this year's Darke County Fair Magazine, a plaque copy of the magazine cover, an Advocate special prize pack, $50 Darke County Chamber of Commerce gift certificate and their picture in the paper!
People's Choice winner will receive: Their photo featured inside this year's Darke County Fair Magazine, an Advocate special prize pack and their picture in the paper!
